Well, BeBe is almost three months old now and, as of the 5th, she weighs 15.4 pounds.
It's insane how very quickly she is growing.
She has also entered the everything-must-go-in-my-mouth phase of her puppyhood. This includes vomit, poop, and a nivea lip balm that I have no idea where she found it.
But she continues to be a very sweet and social puppy. She absolutely has to greet everyone, no exceptions. It can make taking a walk a very slow process. It's nice, however, that people can't seem to resist her.
Even her vets are quite taken with her. On her last appointment, the vet couldn't get over her coat and said that there is just something about BeBes face. BeBe was awake for this appointment, but still took it quite well. The only reaction she really had was a very confused look over her shoulder when she got this booster.
BeBe is doing better with her biting. Luckily, she doesn't go overboard with strangers at all.
It is still hard for me to leave her alone. She is doing well with being separated for periods of time, though you would think I had been gone forever when I get back to her. My mind just stays on her the whole time. Wondering if she is ok and feeling like I just have to get back there. It is driving me nuts. Ha ha.

Walking with Aunt Shawna
This is BeBes Tree. She loves letting it know who's boss.
This is BeBes Pine cone. She's had the same one forever. I don't know how.
Her is BeBe looking kind of confused/gassy on the left and on the right is proof of her leaf obsession.
BeBe chillaxin' outside of the building.
Om nom nom...leash.
Wink!

BeBe for Prime Minister!
BeBe may not be very old, or even human, but she would like your consideration for Prime Minister of Canada.
BeBe Boxer has made leaps and bounds in her local community, getting to know each and every person and pet that crosses her path with a good shake-a-paw. She is well liked and a fixture in her local community.
BeBe believes in your right to a full belly of bacon!
BeBe believes in your right to a full education, especially in the subjects of the arts, sciences, and sitting!
BeBe believes in creating jobs for her fellow Canadians, especially in Leaf Relocation, Pine Cone Resurfacing, and Dandelion Blowing!
BeBe believes in diplomacy and acceptance! She believes that we have to embrace and snuggle the differences between us!
BeBe believes that when life gives you gas, you've got to pat the belly!
BeBe Boxer for Prime Minister of Canada: Just Pat the Belly!

Welcome Home, BeBe!
As of Thursday, BeBe is at home and doing well. :)
As expected, there are ups and downs, though there are many more ups than downs. Mostly the downs involve the expected pee accidents, but they are only a once or twice a day happening and she is getting better at communicating her needs with us.
Mommy is doing better today than the first day, for sure. The first night was sleepless, though not on account of BeBe. BeBe sleeps almost all the way through the night and quite soundly. However, this didn't stop me from sleeping with my head half way off the bed and watching her, waiting for a sign that she needed me. The next day, our first full day together, was full of napping.
It is amazing to see how quickly she has adjusted to her new space and how easily she has trusted me. She woke up from a nap yesterday and when she saw that I was beside her, she pounced on me and began to lick me like crazy, so happy that she found me there.
So far, she is quite the popular addition to my apartment building. I doubt there are many who have not come over to introduce themselves to her. She also took her first shopping trip with us to PetSmart where, even though she was asleep in my arms the whole time, she caused quite the mob to form around us.
Our big challenge will be crate training. I've attempted to start, but to say it went badly would be an understatement. I've decided to give her another two weeks, since she sleeps so well and is well behaved at night so far, and then give it another go. Hopefully, when we see her vet for the first time on Friday she will have some ideas to make it go smoother.

Happy One Month, Little One!
BeBe and her siblings are a whole month old today!
Yes! Today!
She has gotten so big so quickly. It's almost magical to watch her go from a handful to a whole lap full of puppy in just a few weeks.
There is the Beebs with her Daddy. Don't they look alike? I think his inner voice would sound a lot like Mufasa.
Her bellybutton cracks me up. :)
She is such a beautiful little creature.
I think I am going to be one of those weird people who put clothes on their dog. I cannot help it! It really is partly because I've read that Boxers have a hard time with the cold and heat, so it would be nice to have something to keep her warmer in the winter and the rain off of her. ...but also because they have SUCH cute things for dogs! Ha ha ha.

D'awwww!
Today's update brings us TWO pictures!
She is three weeks old now and becoming more active.
She is three weeks old now and becoming more active.
"...she loves to chew lol more than the others so I think lots of chewy toys are in order lol. She is the biggest pup now for sure and when she sleeps her wrinkles fall over her face. I tried the pups on some food yesterday no enticing needed they all devoured it. Especially her she laid in the middle of the dish hahaha. She walks pretty good now and has started playing with her brothers and sisters."All of this brings such happiness to me. The more she grows, the more sure I am that she was exactly the right pup for me. She's becoming such a beautiful dog and I love that she will have a personality to match her adult size.

Steppin' Paws!
It is so exciting to see my little rascal getting up and moving!
There she is with her siblings, climbing all over each other. They have to gain muscle somehow, right? :)
I miss her silky little self very much! I can't wait until next month.
But for now, I'm reading up on puppy training and what to focus on at each stage of her puppyhood. It gives me something to do instead of sit here like "ZOMG Y PUPPY NOT HERE?????"

Seeing the World!
Today is a big day for BeBe...She opened her eyes. Soon, she'll be taking everything in and learning what is beyond her nest with a whole new sense to guide her.
I am just so proud of my little one.

The question is settled...
Today has been a long day. Most of it was spent in the hospital with my sister inlaw, who was having surgery. (She's fine. She may be small, but she's a feisty one.)
Then a long bus ride to the current residence of my future fur-baby.
This is BeBe.
I was shown all of the little darlings, but when she was lifted up for me to see, I knew that it was my puppy. Since I was sure, I was allowed to have some cuddle time with her, which she spent licking my chest and then falling asleep against me.
Boobs: Not just for decoration.
She is also the first of her large puppy family to have one of her eyes open. An overachiever. :)
I didn't want to put her down at all, but I obviously couldn't just move into this nice family's home and be that weird girl who sits in the corner rocking a puppy.
Meanwhile, back on the home front, preparations are being made for her arrival here. Our storage room, which is basically the size of a small bedroom, will become BeBe's room. It's going to be helpful in keeping her meals seperate from the kitty feeding area.
September seems so far away now, but luckily I will be getting updates from the family that I am adopting from. So there will be pictures and updates on her progress as we go.

Puppy Picking!
Tomorrow is a big day! Not THE big day, but pretty huge just the same.
Tomorrow I am going to go visit the litter and officially claim my puppy. After that, it will be all waiting for it to grow and be ready for me to be it's mommy.
I may have gone a little nuts today with picking up supplies for it. Miss Bisceroni is my first little one, but kittens are more or less happy with a string and a loose feather in terms of belongings.
No, this is much different. It's like there is a new baby on the way. Like a brand new, expectant parent, I have gone nuts.
Of course my puppy can only eat the best food. Of course she must have the cutest, chewiest toys. Of course her bed must feel as soft as the down on a chick. To have anything less might result in my little cuddly pup developing some unknown disorder of....SOME kind. I would spend hours upon hours beside her bed at the pet hospital, holding her paw, as the vet looks at me with disappointment for not knowing that my puppy needed a sheep toy and not a cow toy.
The agony.
But here I am. Both arms tired out from carrying my load home. I am only short a crate, which I am flip flopping over which kind to buy.
After all...I don't want to get the wrong one. :)

Welcome!
I am about to start a journey into motherhood...
...of a baby with big brown eyes, a cold wet nose, "fluppy" ears, and a waggy tail.
One of nine, this little puppy is out there waiting for me to come and pick him/her out of the bunch to be my little one.
Breed: Boxer. Loyal, playful, energetic, sweet...
...and HUGE.
Some think I am crazy. Others can't imagine why I need another pet when my princess of a kitty, Miss Biscuit Meowington, is quite the companion herself.
Yet, here I am. Ready to dive head first into the madness and joy of raising a chubby little furball into a massive, drooly furball. Who knows how it will go.
